Unlike sports, being a parent doesn’t come with a playbook.
The challenge becomes infinitely more difficult when, for whatever reason, you are a single parent trying to raise a strong-willed, resilient young man or woman.
Just ask Denise Minefee, more affectionately known as “Ma”. Her strength, character and compassion are the reason I can even hop on this mic and chat about finding purpose and passion with you all!
But mistakes, mishaps and miscommunications aside, we both made it through together – and my Mom sat down with me to talk about life as a single mother and the things she did in order to raise a son she wanted to go out and change the world.
If you’re a parent to a teen or college student, lean in and listen to this week’s episode where we talk about building character, pressing through the angst and tough times, and ways you can support your student without enabling them to continue a path of desctruction.
